Creating depth-based plots

Using the Depth Based PMW (Predict Mud Weight) form (Wellbore Stability > Predict Mud Weight > Predict Mud Weight Window > Depth Based PMW) you can create depth-based plots. You can specify drilling orientations and compare the well stability results, plot breakout versus rock strength, and mud weight versus rock strength.

  1. Specify one of the following depth based plots: Drilling Direction, BO vs UCS, or MW vs UCS.

You can use these plots to specify different drilling orientations and compare the well stability results, plot breakout versus rock strength, and mud weight versus rock strength.

All plots require MD and TVDRT.

MD is the MD (measured depth) of interest.

TVDRT is the true-vertical depth (TVD) at the depth of interest.

The following read-only values are also provided:

Min MD  The minimum MD of the well (read-only).

Max MD  The maximum MD of the well (read-only).

Min TVDRT  The minimum TVDRT value for the depth of interest.

Max TVDRT  The minimum TVDRT value for the depth of interest.

  2. Click Re(Calculate) if necessary, and then Show.
